Due to the fact that a newborn session is best taken place between 5-21 days old please contact me to set up your session before you have your baby, preferably in your second trimester when possible to ensure a spot for you on my calendar.   However, please do not hesitate to contact me if you are in your third trimester or if your baby has already arrived.  I always try to squeeze newborns into my schedule because they are my specialty.

Yes, staying within this time frame is recommended if you are looking for those adorable sleepy posed shots of your baby.  This is when your baby is the smallest they will ever be, still curled, and very sleepy. Plus babies change so dramatically in such a short amount of time.  You will be amazed by how different your baby looks at one month!  Having said that I have photographed many newborns much older than this timeframe and we are still able to capture some beautiful images just know the sleepy curled up shots are often difficult to achieve.  It’s never too late to have your newborn’s images taken.

The newborn sessions fee includes the session time and 7 day viewing of 30-40 edited images in an online gallery. All digital files and products are purchased separately.  Please view full pricing HERE.  Below are two sessions fee’s based on who will be present at your session.

• $175 – Session fee for newborn and parents
• $225 – Session fee for newborn, parents plus siblings or a pet as well as twin newborn sessions.

Newborn photography sessions take between 2-3 hours depending on the disposition of the baby. I like to keep the atmosphere very relaxed and allow time for breaks for feeding and changing.

The session takes place at my home studio.  The studio allows you access to all of my props, backdrops, etc and provides optimal lighting resulting in high quality consistent images for my clients.  Please click HERE for a tour of my cozy home studio that is 1500 square feet with lots of room for my clients to relax.

Newborn sessions that take place in my home based studio are primarily focused on the baby with the last 30 minutes of the session focused on family and/sibling shots. The family portion of the session can also take place in the beginning of the session if the entire family is coming to the session so everyone is nice and fresh.  You will also have access to all of my props, hats, headbands, etc.

Absolutely!  I love when mom, dad and siblings want to be included in the session.  This is included in the $250 session fee.

I have a large supply of hats, headbands and wraps that I will have available at your studio session.  If you have any hats or items you would like included please bring them with you to the session. I love to include anything personal to the family.

I always suggest first and foremost to wear something you are comfortable in and try to stay with soft toned solid colors.  If you would like a more traditional look then wear black t-shirts but I have found many of my clients like a more  modern light and airy look and will wear soft, muted colors.  To keep the focus on the baby stay away from loud prints and patterns.
